About Mrs. Dixon
I have lived in Bloomington since 1976 when I came to attend IU.
My mother was a kindergarten teacher for many years and I knew that I wanted to work
with young children. I have a Batchelors Degree in Elementary Education with an Early
Childhood Endorsement and a Masters Degree from IU in Early Childhood Curriculum and
Instruction. I met my husband of 25 years at IU. I have three nearly grown children
of which I am very proud! I have been teaching young children since 1980, for many
years with preschool children followed by a year in first grade at Clear Creek and the
past eleven years in kindergarten. Outside of school I am passionate about my two main
hobbies; reading and gardening!
